We have always strived to meet and exceed the customers’ needs, while providing excellent customer service, and a quality product at a competitive price. Svoboda Floor Service, LLC was started in 1982 by Norman and Janet Svoboda. Norm began doing flooring in 1975. With his profound appreciation for the beauty of wood, Norm aka, ‘Norman the Floorman’, soon targeted in on wood flooring. Norm honed his craft under well-known master craftsmen, like Birger Juell, before starting Svoboda Floor Service LLC. Norm has mentored a number of others in this trade over the years. Through proficiency, integrity and ingenuity, Norman the Floorman is considered by many to be an accomplished specialist on wood flooring in the Chicagoland and Southeastern Wisconsin area.
As the business grew through referrals, so did the Svoboda family. Graham Svoboda, having grown up in the business, has been an integral part of the operations since 2006. Being an expert craftsman, Graham is connecting the ancient craft of wood flooring with today’s technical society. His emphasis on green engineering, and reducing our carbon footprint, we look toward the future with great expectation.
